ViRadChem Binder is CellCore Biosciences' second-step detoxification support supplement, designed to be introduced after BioToxin Binder within CellCore's sequential protocol framework. Where BioToxin Binder primarily supports gut microbiome-level detoxification pathways, ViRadChem Binder extends that support systemically — combining the proprietary BioActive Carbon® Technology foundation with a broad-spectrum antioxidant botanical blend, a unique zeolite mineral binder, and additional enzymatic and amino acid support.
The formula operates across three complementary functional dimensions:
1. Carbon-Based Systemic Binding — BioActive Carbon® Technology
As in BioToxin Binder, the BioActive Carbon® Technology BC3 (humic shale-derived humic and fulvic acids) provides the foundational binding and systemic delivery mechanism. The short-, medium-, and long-chain carbon fractions work at different levels of the body — including systemically beyond the gastrointestinal tract — supporting the body's natural elimination pathways while also delivering polyelectrolytes and organic acids that contribute to cellular energy production. The low-pH formulation protects ingredient integrity in the acidic stomach environment, ensuring bioactive compounds reach their intended sites of action.
2. Mineral-Based Binding — Micronised Zeolite Clinoptilolite
A distinguishing feature of ViRadChem Binder relative to BioToxin Binder is the inclusion of micronised zeolite clinoptilolite — a naturally occurring aluminosilicate mineral with a highly ordered, negatively charged honeycomb lattice structure. Clinoptilolite's binding mechanism is fundamentally different from carbon-based binders: it operates via ion exchange and physical trapping within its microporous crystalline structure, offering complementary binding capacity for positively charged compounds that humic/fulvic acid carbons may not preferentially bind. Micronisation significantly increases the available surface area of the zeolite, enhancing its functional capacity within the gut and systemically. Clinoptilolite has been the subject of published research examining its role in gut barrier integrity and its potential as an adsorbent material in the gastrointestinal tract.
3. Antioxidant and Hepatic Support — Botanical and Nutritional Complex
The formula's substantial botanical blend provides broad-spectrum free radical scavenging support alongside targeted hepatic and tissue protection. Key contributors include:
-
Astaxanthin (Haematococcus pluvialis) — one of the most potent naturally occurring antioxidants known, with a unique ability to span the full phospholipid bilayer of cell membranes, providing protection at both the inner and outer membrane surfaces simultaneously
-
Broccoli Sprout Extract (Brassica oleracea) — providing sulforaphane precursors for Nrf2 pathway activation and endogenous phase II detoxification enzyme induction
-
Acai Fruit Extract (Euterpe oleracea) and Blueberry Fruit (Vaccinium angustifolium) — concentrated anthocyanin sources with established antioxidant activity
-
Olive Leaf Extract (Olea europaea) — providing oleuropein and hydroxytyrosol, polyphenols with documented antioxidant and antimicrobial properties
-
Artichoke Leaf Extract (Cynara scolymus) — traditionally used to support hepatic and biliary function, with cynarin as a key active constituent supporting bile flow and hepatocellular protection
-
Pomegranate Fruit (Punica granatum) — providing ellagitannins and ellagic acid with antioxidant and gut-supportive properties
-
Mulberry Leaf Extract (Morus alba) — providing iminosugars including 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) alongside flavonoids
-
Wheat Grass (Triticum aestivum) — providing chlorophyll, flavonoids, and additional antioxidant micronutrients
-
Bromelain (from pineapple) — a proteolytic enzyme that supports healthy inflammatory response modulation and gut barrier integrity
-
L-Citrulline — an amino acid involved in the urea cycle that supports nitric oxide synthesis and healthy circulatory function, which may support delivery of nutrients to peripheral tissues during the detoxification process
Together, this antioxidant complex supports the body's free radical scavenging capacity — a clinically meaningful consideration given that detoxification processes, particularly phase I hepatic oxidation reactions, generate reactive oxygen species as metabolic byproducts.
What Sets This Product Apart
ViRadChem Binder is distinguished from both conventional binders and from BioToxin Binder by the combination of three mechanistically distinct binding strategies in a single capsule: BioActive Carbon® systemic binding, zeolite clinoptilolite ionic exchange, and a comprehensive antioxidant botanical complex. This multi-mechanism approach — binding, scavenging, and hepatic support simultaneously — reflects CellCore's foundational medicine philosophy of supporting multiple physiological systems concurrently rather than targeting a single pathway in isolation. The inclusion of micronised astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis alongside the zeolite and carbon fractions is a particularly clinically thoughtful addition, providing membrane-level antioxidant protection during detoxification.

Directions for Use
Adults: Begin with 1 capsule twice daily and gradually increase to 2 capsules twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. May be taken with or without food. Take at least 2 hours away from prescription medications, antibiotics, and other binder supplements to avoid interference with their absorption.
Allergen Information
Gluten-free, GMO-free, free from common allergens. Contains wheat grass (Triticum aestivum) — individuals with wheat sensitivity should consult their healthcare practitioner before use (note: wheat grass itself is typically gluten-free, however those with coeliac disease or severe wheat allergy should exercise caution and seek professional guidance).
Cautions: Not recommended during pregnancy, lactation, or for those under 18 without professional supervision. Take at least 2 hours apart from prescription medications, as the binding agents in this formula may reduce their absorption. Consult your healthcare practitioner before use if you have a medical condition or are taking any medications. Keep out of reach of children.
Practitioner Note
Recommended by Stephen Roigard, Naturopath & Clinical Nutritionist. ViRadChem Binder occupies the second step in CellCore's sequential binder protocol — introduced after BioToxin Binder has established gut-level detoxification support, and before the more targeted heavy metal binders (Carboxy and HM-ET Binder). Its combination of BioActive Carbon® systemic activity with zeolite clinoptilolite's ion-exchange mineral binding provides a broader detoxification support profile than BioToxin Binder alone, making it particularly relevant in patients with significant environmental or chemical exposure history, or where broader systemic support is indicated. The bromelain content is a useful addition for patients in whom gut barrier integrity and inflammatory response modulation are concurrent clinical priorities. The wheat grass caution is worth noting in highly wheat-sensitive patients, though in practice this is rarely clinically significant at the concentrations present in a 650mg blend. As with all binders, the 2-hour separation from medications is non-negotiable and should be clearly communicated at the time of recommendation.
