Micronised creatine monohydrate | Single-ingredient, unflavoured powder | 5 g per serving

Creatine monohydrate is the most extensively researched supplement in sports and performance nutrition — and one of the very few where the evidence base is genuinely deep rather than promising. The body produces and uses creatine every day for muscular contraction and cellular energy, and supplementing simply tops up the muscle's available stores, so more is on hand when it is needed.

Designs for Health has kept this product exactly as it should be: one ingredient, micronised for better mixing and uptake, with nothing else added. No sweeteners, no flavours, no fillers — just clean creatine that dissolves into water or a smoothie without fuss.

Micronised Creatine Monohydrate

Creatine supports the rapid regeneration of ATP — the body's primary cellular energy currency — within muscle tissue, which is why it is so closely associated with support for strength, power output and exercise performance. Beyond the gym, creatine plays a role in the energy economy of all high-demand tissues and is increasingly studied for its contributions to normal cognitive function and the maintenance of lean muscle mass across the lifespan.

The micronised form used here has a smaller particle size than standard creatine, which improves how readily it disperses in liquid and how comfortably it sits, making daily use straightforward.

What Sets This Product Apart

Creatine is a commodity ingredient, so what separates a good product from a forgettable one is purity, form and trust in the manufacturer.

Designs for Health is consistently the practitioner supplement brand most recommended and personally trusted by functional medicine professionals, and that reputation rests on quality control. This creatine is produced in a GMP-registered, NSF-certified facility, is genuinely single-ingredient (the "Other Ingredients" line reads none), and is micronised for reliable mixing rather than left as a gritty standard powder.

It is also unflavoured and unsweetened by design — which means it slots into whatever you are already drinking without committing you to a particular flavour, and keeps it suitable for those avoiding sugar, sweeteners, gluten, dairy, soy and GMO ingredients. For anyone who wants creatine done properly and nothing more, this is about as clean as the category gets.

Supplement Facts

Serving size: 5 g (approx. one scoop) | Servings per container: 90 (450 g tub)

Ingredient Amount per serving
Creatine Monohydrate (micronised) 5 g

Other ingredients: none.

Directions for Use

Adults: mix 5 g (approximately one scoop, or one stick pack) into 8–10 oz (around 250–300 ml) of water once daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Some protocols begin with a short loading phase — 5 g taken three to four times daily for 5–7 days — before settling into a single daily maintenance dose of 5 g. Loading is optional; daily 5 g will saturate muscle stores over a few weeks regardless. Do not exceed 5 g in a single dose. Maintain good fluid intake while using creatine.
