Mineral and herbal binding blend | Food-grade zeolite (clinoptilolite) & pharmaceutical-grade bentonite with psyllium husk and milk thistle
Supporting the body's own elimination pathways is one of the oldest ideas in natural health — and one of the easiest to oversell. ClinoMont Optima takes a measured, mechanism-led approach. It brings together two naturally occurring binding minerals, a gentle bulking fibre, and a classic liver-support herb, so that several of the body's normal clearance and digestive processes are supported together rather than in isolation.
It is made by NZeolite, a New Zealand family-owned specialist that has built its reputation specifically around high-quality zeolite and bentonite — so the raw materials are selected and graded with more care than you'll find in a generic single-ingredient binder.
Zeolite (Clinoptilolite, food grade)
A naturally occurring volcanic mineral with a microporous, honeycomb-like crystalline lattice and a net negative surface charge. Through ion exchange and adsorption, clinoptilolite binds certain positively charged substances in the digestive tract and helps carry them out of the body via normal elimination, while releasing exchangeable minerals such as silica, calcium, magnesium, and potassium in the process. The zeolite here is micronised to a particle size chosen to work effectively along the length of the bowel.
Bentonite (Montmorillonite, BP pharmaceutical grade)
An absorbent clay that swells on contact with water and works through a similar charge-based binding action. Valued for its gentle, soothing presence in the digestive tract, it complements zeolite's binding capacity and supports normal, comfortable bowel function. Using a BP pharmaceutical-grade clay rather than a generic cosmetic grade is a meaningful quality distinction.
Psyllium Husk
A rich source of soluble and insoluble fibre. On contact with water it forms a gel that adds bulk and moisture, supporting regular and comfortable bowel movements and helping move material through the digestive tract. As a fermentable fibre, it also acts as a prebiotic substrate, nourishing the beneficial gut microbiota.
Milk Thistle Seed (Silybum marianum)
A long-established herb for supporting healthy liver function. Its silymarin flavonolignans support the liver's natural processing pathways and contribute antioxidant support, rounding out the blend so that elimination is supported alongside the organ most central to it.
What Sets This Product Apart
Most binders are a single ingredient — zeolite alone, or bentonite alone. ClinoMont Optima is deliberately more complete: two complementary binding minerals, a bulking and prebiotic fibre, and a liver-support herb in one blend, so the digestive, eliminative and hepatic sides of the picture are addressed together rather than requiring three separate products.
The materials themselves are the other differentiator. NZeolite uses BP pharmaceutical-grade bentonite and activated, micronised food-grade clinoptilolite, sourced and selected by a New Zealand specialist that focuses on this category alone. For anyone wanting a considered, well-formulated mineral binder rather than a basic clay powder, this is a genuinely premium option.
